What is STN Stone Paper?

STN stone paper is a synthetic thick sheet.

ST stands for Stone Thermal. It is made of three layers, with a density of 1.6 and a very smooth and flat surface.
STN = ST without surface treatment.
Thickness range: 300 µm, 400 µm,500 µm, 600 µm,700 µm,800 µm
Composition: 60% calcium carbonate + 40% PE.
Density 1.6g/cm3±5%
Surface treatment: PE coating
Certification: FDA、RoHS、REACH

What is the structure of ST stone paper?

The most common version of ST thermal is STN, because most customers do not print on the material, but include the information in the mold itself!

The main principle is to heat and soften the ST stone paper hard sheet, then vacuum adsorb it on the mold surface, and cool it down to form. It is widely used in blister products such as trays, lunch boxes, hang tags, cards and other plastic packaging, lighting, advertising, decoration and other industries.

For RPD and RBD stone paper products, we still combine the advantages of paper and plastic. Although ST has a thicker thickness and better tear resistance, it is still not a 100% plastic product. So, if you need a super tear resistance advantage, you may need to consider a 100% plastic product. The price of ST is higher than RPD and RBD stone paper, but it is also lower than 100% plastic products, so STN is our competitive advantage.
